We are a local fraternity of the Secular Franciscan Order (SFO) that has approximately 18,000 members in the USA.
At present the SFO is governed by it’s own RULE of LIFE as well as general Church Law.
The Secular Franciscan Order is just that, an Order within the Catholic Church and not an organization or club.
SFO members strive to live the Gospel in the manner of St. Francis by spreading the Gospel by word and example in their homes, at work and in their communities.
The Franciscan Family of Greensboro has 42 active professed members and 8 inquirers.
The fraternity is a privileged place of developing their sense of Church, their Franciscan vocation and ministry.
There are monthly fraternity gatherings with a Liturgy of the Eucharist, common prayer, on-going formation, and fellowship which provides the spiritual nourishment that helps us to grow and live as a Christian in the world today.
